I lost to many dogs that I loved and I can't do it anymore. Feels like loosing one of my kids.
Had to shoot two of my dogs, one with cancer of the mouth, one with a broken back. Possibly two of the hardest things I’ve had to do. Tears in eyes as I type. On hound dog # 6 now , when he goes it will rip my heart out. But he protects my place and free to go where he chooses. Have never tied one up or had a kennel. Dog rule, only one dog at a time, he will listen to you, two dogs they are busy playing with each other and won’t listen to you.

I would never tie a dog up and was always part of the family. Never had more than one dog at a time just for that reason.

We have 3 dogs currently and have for years now, I had 5 at one time, but I won't do that again. When Charlie goes, (he's 12 now), I'm sure there will be some serious discussions about getting another one, which I will likely lose, but it is getting too expensive to feed and care for them all. I wish I could have more, but reality is I just can't. Love them all, and I'm devastated every time one passes, but I don't know what it would be like to be without one.

My first dog as a child was Hobo and he just appeared in the yard one day, all his hair was matted up and looked like ****.
I went to pet him and he bit me. We were best friends after that. I only take in dogs that find me.

Don’t know, ya right. When I was finishing high school a bottle of coke was two bits. Now $2.50 is cheap. They had the old water cooler coke machine in a poorly lit corner of the hall way. Used to pop the top of a coke in the machine and used a straw to Hover the coke. Memories, make me smile
I remember when my wife and I first met. This was 1962 mind you. We'd come out of the show and across the road to the small variety store. We'd get a coke and bag of chips for 25 cents. The 25 cents won't even cover the tax today.
When I was a kid there was a phone booth on the corner and we'd wait till someone had just made a cal then go and slam the phone down and the money would come out the bottom. We'd then go to the local garage and buy ice cream, chips or a coke. Then Ma Bell fixed it.

The first puppy I got as a kid bite me pretty good so I grabbed him and chomped his ear hard. He yelped and ran about 30’ sat down and looked at me. All was good after that.

They're like your own kids. That's why I wouldn't want one. I'd get too attached

Morning guys.
Another cool, rainy, windy day ahead.
No relief till Sat they are saying.
Giving our new furnace a workout but I must say it works great and so quiet.
Have a great day

It’s an emotional affection we all have. But to miss out on the many good times to avoid one hard time just seems like a waste to me. Things live, things love, things die, not easy but no one told me it was going to be easy. My opinion

Speaking of price I now realize I am an old man. I bought my first house in 1992 for 47,500 and after the flipper I sold it to remodeled it and the February sale was 200,000 .

It’s amazing, the numbers. In 86 I bought the lot I live on for 10,500 across the road an empty lot half the size just sold for $75000. But a litre of gas was .35 cents now $1.40

Bought my first home in the early eighties. My then brother in law worked for the Toronto Blue Jays organization at the time and was going to get Pro players to live there in the summer. that didnt happen and I couldn't live in it, then the mortgage rates went to double digits ( I'm sure Mark will remember that) and i lost the home. Lost every bit of savings I had. What doesen't kill you makes you bitter they say. oh wait, makes you stronger...thats right.

Well, if you never buy a ticket you’re never going to win. Made cash on deals, lost cash on deals. Probably came out relatively even. Was it worth the hassle no. F…….. renters. Done with that crap. Unless you can get a cop or a school teacher and even then not worth the time and effort.

Gotta be willing to stick your neck out and take the risks! Never been the one to stand back and wait for things to happen. Life is a highway and we should all ride it, all day long.

I'm taking my old truck to Minneapolis to an all Mopar car show next weekend.
I know it's a Ford but it has a Dodge Brothers engine so it qualifies.
Cooking hotdogs, chips and beer for all my friends that will be there.
I'm putting a for sale sign in the window and hoping to sell it and the flatbed trailer there.
