Ho Hum, another car show yesterday and a huge turnout. It started at 12 and I was there at 11:15 and thought maybe I could help. The lot was already 3/4 full already.
Free food and coffee and donuts and over 4000 dollars in prizes, live band and many individual prizes given out. I got three of them.

Morning, Fred.

Getting a nice soaking rain here....
Did the rain thing last night here.
Hey Jim I cleaned and oiled the pellet gun and it shoots better but I have a problem sighting in. I can't really see the front sight real well so I think I'll paint it white or some color so I can see it better.

Sounds like a good idea! Hopefully that, and the cleaning, will help....

Do you know the claimed velocity of the pellet gun? I want to say that rifled guns are slower, but I can't remember where I read that, or what the reasoning is. Anyway, with a non-rifled gun I would think that velocity should be "up there" to get the pellet on-target ASAP.

For comparison, my rifled Gamo .177 has a claimed velocity of 1,100 fps, but I have no way of directly measuring it.

mine is only 700 and is a cheap $50 dollar gun but I think at 25 feet it should kill a squirrel. Well if hit in the right spot anyway.
