So first off, this intake has been slightly modified. Nothing you can see on the outside. The heat riser has been welded shut. Not epoxied or JB welded, actual aluminum tig welded. The center plane divider was milled a little but not chopped out completely. The heat rises plenum was milled out on the bottom too. Also, there has been some slight port clean up. Doesn't look like a full port job. The ports measure very close to an unmodified intake. Anyway, I don't believe any of this affects the intake negatively. No rotten water passages.
