Leaf spring help

If you go with the +2.5 springs, you could toss a couple lowering blocks in it to dial in the height you want (e.g., 2.5 - 1 =1.5"). Or flip the front hangers. Plenty of options...
so you can flip the front hangers and they will bolt right back up but be lower?

These are springs I have available.
I seen you tried to message- I’ve cleared my inbox.
Make sure you understand...those springs I liked to on the Mancini site are the XHD +1 springs. It's in the very fine print at the bottom. Just makin sure you know that. Also, do you have a web site?

oh, i thought you had the SS springs..
No, they are P4510268 XHD from Mancini. I used them with their AR013 spring hanger kit that has stock positioned 5/8 bore and -1” positioned 5/8 bore. The 268’s use 5/8 in lieu of 1/2 as you may already know. Advertised arch is +1” for the springs per website but everyone I’ve ever purchased has been closer to +1.5”. If you use the bottom eye bolt you get approx. 1.5”, and if you use the top eye bolt you net about an 1/2” over stock.

Na, i am not going that route. Not sure what im going to do because the only place that does different heights is eaton spring, and they want 400.00 per side, PLUS an additional 50.00 for the 1" increase..ESPO is 5 months out , cant wait that long so i dont know ..

call pete at bergmanautocraft and see what he offers... 516-384-6438

Then there's the problem if WHICH stock you're talking about. There' stock slant 6 stock V8 and then comes the XHD which is what came on the 340 cars. I would look at a stock 340 car and see. For "MY" taste, even the stock 340 height in the rear is too low.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that think the stock height in the rear of these cars is too low (or at least appears to be). I've often wondered if it's not the drop in the lower body line that gives it that appearance though.

I've always thought they were too low. Even the slant 6 cars. If they had all had "just a little rake" their appearance would have been SO much better.

Why not have your old springs re arched? I have done it to several cars with excellent results. The old iron springs are a better quality than you will get these days imo.
Put 2” -3” arch into them from stock.
This gets you exactly what you want with your original springs and all new leaf liners and bushings. Re install and keep rolling

We made up a little 1 1/2" drop down 90° at the upper rear spring hanger made out of 2" x 2" steel angle iron to give the A Bodies a little rake.

Yeah, they sit too low stock.

Got me some custom made 15 x 7 mopar rallies on the rear, 225 70R 15s to help with the way it sits. Stock 14" on the fronts.

(8 3/4 rear end also)

lol..what a fiasco this is turning into. SO, I am going to use this spring relocation kit BAC A Body Leaf Spring Relocation Kit - Bergman Auto Craft
The kicker is that it uses 1/2" eye bolt size. Ok, BUT every place i have looked is OUT of stock on A-body leaf springs with the 1/2" eye size..BUT they all have springs with 5/8" eye size in stock..RRR, I know we talked about drilling the holes out to 5/8" in the OEM front hangers, but with this offset kit having 2 holes on each side for different ride heights, im guessing there is not enough meat there to drill the holes bigger safely..? Waiting on an answer from Pete on this but i bet he says no, theres not enough meat to drill them bigger..Just looked at this kit again and couldnt drill bigger anyways because it comes with the 1/2" bolts with flat tops for clearance of the frame and the new bushings..so there goes that idea anyways..here is all that General spring has..notice the springs with the 1/2" eye are out of stock, along with mancini, etc..I cant wait 5 months for ESPO Search

wheres it say that its only a 1/2" spring eye bolt?

BAC A Body leaf spring relocation kit gives you more tire clearance by locating the spring even with the inner wheel house. This kit, entirely developed at BAC, greatly improves stability by using delrin bushings and our exclusive, bolt on, slider assembly. Our slider puts the rear of the leaf spring within an 1/8″ of location of traditional shackles.

The front hanger assemblies designed for 1.5″ spring eyes include reinforcement plates and countersunk hardware to eliminate the need for clearancing at the frame rail. A 2 position height adjustment gives a wide range of stance options. Quiet operation and long life are ensured by the materials used in the construction of this kit. Stabilizing the leaf spring has been a missing link for years when seeking improved handing. Tighter tire clearances are now possible due to reduced lateral movement under load. The delrin bushings ensure bind free movement that benefits all types of usage, be it street driving, autocrossing or drag racing.

Complete kit includes everything needed to move your springs on your 63-76 Dodge and Plymouth A Body:

Offset front hanger assembly, slider assembly, spring perches, hardware, bushings and assembly grease.

Look in the spring relocation kit you have linked. It has bushings that fit the bolt. Just swap out the 5/8" for the included 1/2".

offset kit.. i didn't see it in the description.

I think he mistakenly wrote 1.5" instead of .5"

i think thats spring eye opening not bolt. meaning his bushing will fit into the 1.5" spring opening. i can't see him selling stuff with only a 1/2" eye bolt. pictures are hard to see but that look 5/8 to me.
