Let me see you baddest Eddy headed small blocks..

-
360 block, 410 ci, 93 octane pump gas, 10.8:1 compression,
Eagle 4.00 steel crank, Scat I-beams, Diamond pistons,
Edelbrock heads stage II ported by Ryan J @ Shadydell,
Small solid roller 248/254 duration w/ .576/.582 lift, Airgap,
Proform 750 dp,
4.10 gears, spool, 35 spline Moser axles, pinion snubber, drag shocks front and rear,
727, manual valve body, 8” converter, 5000 stall,
28x11.5 Hoosier QTP,
3225 lbs with driver, street trim and with 3 inch Flowmasters.

Runs 6.88 @ 98.5 mph in the 1/8, 10.89 @ 121.6 in the 1/4….Probably around 520 ish horsepower. With more cam and carb, I think this combo could be in the 10.6's easily...maybe faster.

FWIW, One of the guys I race with has a Valiant (~2700 #’s empty) with unported eddys, ~12:1 comp, 590 purple cam, 3.79 crank stroker. I have seen him go 6.50’s @ 104 in the 1/8 (low 10’s in the ¼). I’m not sure if it’s the light weight or what…but that car HAULS for what’s in it.

If you want to run low 10s, high 9s with a street motor NA you'll need more head for sure. With a lower pump gas friendly compression ratio I'd look into building more cubes and as Brian said the Indy heads. The 4.25 or 4.125 stroke cranks are probably going to be your best bet. Otherwise some sort of forced induction will get you there with the Eddy head, either turbo's or a blower and probably be cheaper and easier on the block as well.

i have ported eddy heads on my stroker 418, 11.8 compression, hasnt been to the track or dyno yet but plan on it in 2 weeks-dyno. motor was finished late august. heads flow 277/215 , stock valves 1.6 valve train, ultradyne solid 263/[email protected] 637/651 with 1.6. eddy t-ram , 2-660 holleys .JUST CONVERTED them to e-85. e-85 is good to at least 14.1 compression. this is a street car, but not a daily driver, e-85 is 50-60 cents cheaper than 87 octane, BUT HAS 105 OCTANE. pm me if interested in e-85 and ill pass on a good web site . 4.10s ,28 tall tire , 9.5 convertor,727, foot brake , should run 10.60s on a good tune , i wish i had bigger headers, money got tight.
