Im interested in hearing how you guys built your 4" strokers up. I figure if I have to redo my motor I may aswell throw some more crank at it.

I'll build up a nice short block and worry about better heads later. I'll just use the heads on the car now instead of my Magnums. This way I can use my adjustable rockers I already have so I can use a solid cam and dont have to pull my hair out looking for valve springs for the 8mm magnum valves that will work with a big cam.

Mine is still in pieces, but here is the basic combo.
340 block bored .030" over and zero decked

Cast Mopar Performance 4" crank
Eagle H-Beam rods
Ross forged pistons, 21cc dish
Speed-Pro Plasma Moly rings
Federal Mogul 3/4 groove main bearings
Clevite cam and rod bearings
ARP main studs
Scott Brown custom ground hydraulic cam
Cloyes double roller timing chain
Melling HV oil pump
Milodon 8qt pan
Edlebrock heads, straight out of the box

I didnt build my engine as it was sitting in the car when i bought it but here are the specs i know!

Heads are MP alu heads converted to open chamber by Hughes
MP M1 intake

MP 4" cast crank that has been cryod
Original shot peened and polished rods
KB Pistons ,Hughes Engines part # 2020+070 , 26.5 cc's
Piston rings are Hughes Engines part # 2114
Comp Cams V 9215 solid cam

I got it dynoed on rolling highway two days ago and got 300 bhp, the conditions in the hall were it was tested wasnt perfect! It was somwhere around 40 degrees C in the test hall. But now the engine has been tuned and runs like a beast at high rpms so im happy :D

hey gotdart,
whats the specs of your cam??

It's pretty mild actually. My Dart is more of a street cruiser than a drag racer. So the cam has to work well with power brakes, a/c, etc.

lobe lift - 0.350/0.340
lift w/1.5 rockers - 0.525/0.510
adv duration - 283/298
dur @ 0.050 - 236/248
lobe separation - 112
