Lets see those SUPERCHARGER A-Bodies

I definitely want to go to ten rib but lower crank pulley is the obstacle. My set up does have slippage but not terrible. The motor is way over built for the boost presently. @mopardude318

Because of the larger cubic inches of the 408, and my little blower is only 162, I’ll be luck to see 4 psi of boost. But, never the less, I’ll have some. Lol

:poke:
Well, earlier I posted That I was building an engine specifically for the B&M kit I have, but I was wrong, I’M not building it, Brian at IMM Engines is building it.
It’s going in my ‘74 W200.

For a little while I was stuck on coming up with a 10 rib pulley drive setup. I had the 6 rib pulley essentially copied, and made with 10 ribs because I’ve read of a lot of belt slip issues with the 6 rib.
I also had to buy a shorter blower snout, ($$$), and cut an inch off of the crank blower pulley spacer. I have it all pretty much figured out, but I gave up once I couldn’t make it work with a mechanical clutch fan, I didn’t wanna go electric. Lol. So all that stuff is just sitting on the shelf.

I sent the blower to Martin’s Superchargers, he rebuilt the whole thing, put new Teflon on the rotors, corrects the rotor phasing and runs them through his dyno.
This engine pic is just mock up on a 360 that’s currently in my power wagon with Chinese heads. Lol

The way things are going, It just might come to that.
My Barracuda is a rusted **** box, I cut out the trunk floor, and I have all new AMD sheet metal for it, trunk & the extensions, quarter panel and wheel housings, but I may just mad max build it for now lol. I’ve been so long without an A-body. Trucks are way easier to build. lol

This has been my work in progress since August of 1968.I’m almost 71 now and still having blast with it.

Wow that is nice... here are some pics of what it looked like when I first did her.... The biggest issue was the exhaust for me. This is what I came up with.

Yep, a tight fit. Original (not very long) flathead six car. The straight eight cars have lots more room under the hood. Notice he's running the small two inch belt drive.
Looks like he’s got the room for one more inch on that belt. Rookie. Lol.

Not with that V-belt in front of it, driving everything else, lol.
That is a real short snout on the blower, plus it look like the firewall is un-cut.
Somebody really thought that set up out.

@Dorian Wow!! That’s cool.

Here’s an update on my 671. Got the carbs from Dominic Thumper. Almost ready to swap over. Maybe I can make Mopar Alley in June.
