I would love to see custom dashes where all of the plastic parts and gauges have been replaced.

Got a dash bezel and carbon fiber insert from a fellow member. Cut out holes for gauges and blinker lights and other idiot lights( Picked them up on Evilbay)

73 Swinger 8.....Is the insert a flat piece or does it inset like the original dash?
Very nice:cheers::cheers:

Yes on the mattress topper put it on backwards but design came through symmetrical...OOPs !! It's a factory bezel with all the oem stuff removed. The carbon fiber is flat and shaped to fit inside the factory bezel. I made my template and drilled the gauge holes. Then I layed it in the bezel marked the holes on the bezel and used a dremel to cut the plastic. Used epoxy to secure it. Also put epoxy around the back of the factory screw holes.(Factory bezel can get brittle) Have to thank northeastmopar. I bought the stripped bezel and shaped carbon fiber from him .

I will be using a 66 Barracuda dash in my 65 wagon. The instrument cluster bezel is stock and re-chromed; Dakota Digital did their digital conversion to the cluster.

I realize you asked about dashes with the plastic replaced, but this is the original plastic cluster with all aftermarket LED lit gauges and a custom designed speedometer face, along with custom designed carbon fiber dash caps and gauge pod.
All gauges from the far left to the right are, Volts, temp, oil pressure, Speedo, with an analog clock to the right of that and then tach, A/F gauge and fuel level in the upper pod.
The red dot on the pod is an LED line lock indicator and the activation switch for the lock is on the shifter right under my index finger.
Between the visors on the roof in front of the rear view mirror is a color Kindle Fire HD with wireless internet, email, GPS location and maps, plus all my music and wired into my stereo on and auxiliary input and it charges it's internal battery off of the car at 5 volts 1 amp using an electronic volt/amp regulator, and is on a swivel down/lock up mount I built out of a small piano hinge and a side cover from a computer.
The gauge pod was also a computer side cover in another life.
I added the little scene in the window just for kicks one day.

The square black speedo face is what was original to the car for comparison.
Did all the design building and installation myself on weekends because I run it all week for onsite service work.

I call the car an industrial functional resto mod.

No its from fast lane west. Super nice product if you get the black one. Looks just like the stock one. Just don't get other ones there super cheap and flimsy.
