Yeah right, especially when it comes down, but hey I'm no expert!.
That's why wheelies are time losers, the proper way to set it down is to back off a little and let it settle.
I would think they would have gotten that car on the ground after 10 years and 1000's of dollars in frontend repair.
I agree it's cool and it's their car.

Well I didn't post it to critique it or their mindset (I don't know them) quite honestly, I just enjoy watching women race for a change and if it's a MoPar that's even better.

It is a cool car/run for sure. Lots of women racing at our track. So many of them walking out of Jr Dragsters and hopping into real rails. Late teens and racing like champs. I guess that was the whole idea of Jr Dragsters.

Just saw them run at Sac last weekend. Don’t understand the negativity when it comes to this car. They have fun she does very well in the car and it is a fan favorite. As for her husband he has always been helpful in questions and information when I have reached out.

That's what I thought when I first saw the video. She looks like she's having fun and obviously they are both good at what they're doing. The car is a beast.

They run Sac and Sonoma..... I’m betting most here would have their “best” pass running at either of those two tracks.

I don’t know Steve personally. I’ve heard from others he’s a great person, but his written word here I found “interesting” from time to time.

If someone is in touch with wheelsup or knows he and his wife, I wish you'd ask them to give us another chance.

I just want to know what that cars set up is! Engine specs, rear gearing etc...

this was a post from dec/2017 with a little info on the mill. Quite certain he was running E-Brock heads.

Wheelsup
“My heads were hand ported stage 3s by Hughes in Dec 2006. The peak flow numbers are 299 at .600 lift.2.08 ,1.6 valves. I run their older version of the AS 276/280 solid flat tappet cam . Car runs 10.0s over 131in the heat with the 410 cid motor and the car weighs 3093#s.
Stage 3 port work needs a big cam to take advantage of the cylinder head.”

Why ? were you one of the guy's giving him grief.

I never did, the wheelies were cool at the time, but 10 years worth of wheelies with a 10 sec car ?
Time to get that car on the ground and go faster.
If anything for his wife's safety

lmao, wasn't it you in post #24 that stated "she was just along for the ride"? She's been driving that car for 10 years and now a man wants to decide for a woman what and how she should race "her" race car. Good grief, I'd bet she wouldn't be critiquing your racing style. Just sayin'

I’m thinking “just along for the ride” is a pretty accurate statement..... just from personal experience anyways. Obviously they have trust in their set up.

Man who cars if keeping the wheels down makes it goes faster I'm pretty sure shes not chasing some ET record. Their car, they can set it up how they want. Impressive car, I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

If I remember correctly, it didn't start here. I'm not on facebook, but a link was posted from FB of some nasty exchanges and it trickled over to here. Again, I wasn't involved nor am I taking sides and i don't know any of the people involved.

Not sure about FB.... but for sure yellowbullet. He and “Matt” out of Canada got into some rather entertaining discussions. I don’t think Matt has run his car in 2-3 years now. Got into Harleys and the green small block dart will be a garage find one day.... It’s my understanding that Steve and his wife race quite often, but in my 3 visits to Sacramento over the years I have yet to see him..... of course that was one Mopar event a loooong time ago, and two Hot Rod Heritage Series races 3 years ago. It’s a 9hr tow for me so it’s kind of a chore to get there although I do like the track. I really wanted to make the mopar race a couple weeks ago, but I was still recovering $$$ from my Labor Day race-cation. I understand they were at the event. I could have introduced myself as one of the FABO “keyboard warriors” and inquired as to how large of bet he was willing to lose..... just to test his sense of humor of course .... I’ve actually met a ton of great people via the mopar forums and at race tracks. I’d certainly give “the wheelie-douche” a shot.... (Sorry... that was funny time in fabo history).
