What about Blobfest ?

That's held in Phoenixville at the Colonial Theater. Same theater as the movie. The theater, grocery store, and I think doctor's office were all in Phoenixville. The diner and police station were Downingtown. You can hear them call Downingtown on the police radio in the movie. I believe they used an actual D'town squad car for it too. The police station looked the same in the late '80's. Several years later the boro building got remodeled and the police station moved into the building next door.

the "Oneders" Tom hanks movie about a 50's band was shot in Downtown Orange, CA. They still have the same look as in the movie.
