can i see a pic of how you got it coming out of the firewall?

Yeah, that was just after installing it. Several months before startup.

No real looping out of firewall, just a gentle curve behind the rocker cover (/6 converted to a 360). Used the original firewall hole.

Best view I can give with all the wiring in place,etc...

And here's the opposite angle from behind the carb...

If it's binding you may have some bends that are too sharp. If I recall I trimmed quite a bit off, it was basically the same length as my /6 cable.
