Has anyone ever used the longer (inch and a half longer) pittman arms on their car? And if so was it on a stock box or Firm Feel box? I think it changes the ratio from 16:1 to 12:1 more like to T/A or AAR in handling.

Thanks for the info. Because I run TTI headers my choices continue to be limited. I may only have the option of a Flaming River manual box (then you have to change the column length too) and replace my PS. Thanks again.

Is just changes the steering ratio. That just the amount of turns it takes to move the front wheels. Won't make the car gain any more G's or go around corners faster.

They don't work with any headers for an A-body. And they are very tricky to fit with stock 340 manifolds. You need a good custom exhaust shop.

BTW not many T/A and AAR got quick ratio steering. Not all AAR and T/A got the quick steering. It was not an Cop Spec A38 optioned factory "Firm Feel" box. Those didn't come out until the mid 70's on cop cars. The T/A - AAR box has different internal stops in it to keep the wheel from over turning do the long pitman when the steering wheel is cranked over to the max and held against the end stop by the common idiot consumer.
