My son bought a slot car race business. A 1/24 scale track and a 1/4 mile scale drag track. he is opening one up as a side business for the family. While there I started grabbing some Mopar models. There wasn't much room in his jeep with all the slot car parts. but I am going back next week. Some pictures of the track and shop. some of the mopar models I fit in the Jeep today with all the parts we loaded. These are some that I wanted for me. We are going back with 2 trailers I'll grab some of the rest on the shelves picture then. I brought 4x4 RC cars home and we were having fun with them in the snow, I never realized they were that fast.

Get that Baha 5B together and running!!!
I have 3 of the Arrma 6s rc's. So much fun.60mph out of the box and just like real cars you can tune them and upgrade them. Just depends on how much money you want to spend.

Steve, do they have any N scale model railroad stuff? I need some code 80 flex track.
No Trains, RC cars and slot cars only that I saw. The models he got from buying out another hobby shop. He does have old model kits and other things in the basement . So I can look. We loaded up what we could today, We went there to pay for everything to finalize the deal.

Heavy snow storm hitting so we didn't want to bring the trailers but are going back next week. He found out there is also a machine shop equipment attached from the race shop . So while Steve was looking at that stuff . I was digging through the models that I wanted to take for me today.

Didn't have room for all , I had the jeep stuffed to the ceiling barely fit in those resin kits after he loaded stuff ,I even had a slot car hidden in the clove box. Next week while the crew is loading the track and other stuff. I'll be hunting for the goodies I want , so I'll look and ask about trains.

The best time to ride along is when he takes the money pouch.

some of mine

do slot cars count?

slot cars are so much fun!
should be a great business. If he wants to run diecast/hot wheels, (great for the young ones)
I have helped setup 2 commercial programs, let me know.

that is a beautiful king? track

Improper form of the word "there" (should be "their") on that sign on the back of the computer monitor.
I didn't read it, The monitor doesn't go with the deal. Took that picture to show how big this place is . That track in the back ground is 38 foot long. The front of the store is three sections and levels. At least twice the length of the room the track is in. The monitor is on in the upper right hand corner of the 1st picture.

Is the business staying in that building?
Was the building included in the purchase, or do you have to renegotiate the lease?
I'd love to see how the business end works out.

We had a primarily gaming hobby store about 3 miles away that didn't last long.
And I understand gaming with miniature figures is huge right now.

Kids of the "now" generation will never get to experience a slot car track such as that. Back in the early 60s, there were 2 tracks within bike riding distance. We spent most Saturdays at one or the other. We picked the "old timers" brains back then on motor and tire combinations to get faster. One the first Sunday of the month, one track had an all enter race and the third Sunday the other track had a similar race. Cheap trophies were awarded, sometimes parts and cars were awarded. I had 2 old metal tackle boxes loaded with my cars, controllers and parts. I miss the "simple, old" days.

We had 2 or 3 different slot car tracks in our area. The one in the Innsbrook Mall had 4 tracks. Us little kids had to use one, more experienced used two others, and the serious older guys and rich kids with fast, good cars and stuff got to use the biggest and best track. My slot car was a basic car with a cheap controller and no brakes. It was what my parents could afford, but it was fun. The place on Haywood Rd had 2 tracks. I only went there once since it was geared towards the serious racing crowd. Us little kids just having fun didn't fit in at all there....lol.

The last local slot car track to me closed around 1989.
