I have a 360 magnum crate engine going into my 1970 duster. I'm using TTI headers and they say I have to use a 90 degree adapter. Does anybody have one they want to sell? I would prefer the aluminum one with the center bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No you don't NEED a 90* adapter with the step headers.

Run a standard plate with a short filter.

I agree if you can get away with not using the adapter do it. However, I have TTI step headers and I have to run the 90* adapter. Even with the short stubby Wix filter, I just dont have the clearance needed to start it.

Did you ever cut a Walmart filter apart or watch a Fram lose oil pressure on a dyno. They are all junk. STP, Purolator, Mopar and all others are basisally garbage.

Most race shops will not use them on engine dynos for break in of a new motor because they fail.

NAPA gold or WIX is the only filter to use unless you are selling the car to your enemy. Cut them apart and check them out A true lesson for those who never did.

I believe your engine takes the late model adapter aluminum . Early adapter will not seal properly. They are different. The way to tell is if your factory nonangle steel plate has 5 holes it takes the later adapter. The early plates are 4 holes and take the early Iron adapter. As I said they are different. There are some early aluminum adapters from mopar peformance. These are for the early LA also not the magnum

All we run on every motor Is a NAPA GOLD made by WIX or a WIX. Big power Diesels and many big HP motors built by my son at the machine shop

My Duster spins to over 8000 evey time out Rev set to 9000, 6 years 5500 stall 456 gears runs hot and still running strong. Members on here have been in it on the street. Pegs the pressure when cold. Factory spare still in trunk. Heavy car. Cut my filters every change never a defect ,

Sorry that you must have bought the only bad one made. Notice they don't sell WIX at Auto Zone. And you have to ask for gold at NAPA. double the price ????

I would never put anything else on my motor. Or a motor built here.
