Can anyone help find or give me some pointers on how to find my original block?

It's a 340 block. VIN #409210. I think the car used to be owned by a guy named Doug Fletcher in Kelowna, BC, Canada who has since passed away (only months ago). It was then bought by a guy named Mo (in Surrey, BC where I am as well), who I bought it from. I believe the car was originally B3. It's now B5. Any ideas?? Trying to track down Doug Fletcher's family is already super tough. I've plastered this info all over facebook and that hasn't helped. I've looked for Doug on Facebook as well and that was a dead end. He was probably too old to even have an account.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I know a guy that bought a 70 Swinger that is not numbers matching. I came from BC then went back there then came back to Saskatchewan. I don’t know the time frame though. I’ll ask him to check his car. Kim

I think you are referring to me Kim? I checked my motor numbers, and sorry, I dont have this block.

If it is not matching your car, would you please post it on here? I'm locking for my original engine out of my 1970 dart swinger.
The passenger side VIN pad says 9B277030, and the pad below the drivers head(date machined) is EW340P27440049
Be nice to find the original motor for my car too, but Im not too hopeful, these motors were used and abused over the years and many blown motors were scrapped.
Even if my motor matched someone elses car, it would take a lot of $$ to get it from me, cause I would need another rebuilt 340, mild build, roller cam, Eddy heads, MSD etc etc to replace it.
