I got a 65 valiant and I want to convert it to a stick. I was wondering what is the best tranny to get and where is the best place to get one? I live in Washington so if that helps anyone. An idea of what kind of driving I want to do is, ill be doing some cruises but I want to be able to go to the streets and stomp on people

I converted my 66 Cuda and got one from a 72 with the large yoke to put in mine. If you want to keep your drive shaft stock get one from a 65 or older. I got most of my parts from Brewers and was very happy with their service. Gotta love a real cruiser with 3 pedals.

Oh sweet. It would be cool to keep it stock but if I have to change it im ok with that cause im trying to basically put new everything on the car. What is Brewers? Is it a website?

Brewer,s is a Mopar parts dealer.I believe?I,m in Ontario,Canada,so I could be wrong?

Brewers is a Mopar Manual trans. specialist in Ohio. I bought my trans, yoke, shifter w/linkage and bellhousing on Ebay, The clutch linkage and flywheel from Brewers, Clutch assembly from Napa. I have the 10 1/2 clutch in mine.

Hey might have the 4 speed you need.. Brewers is a good place to check out for other stuff as that is where i got my pistol grip shifter from. And I know how much you like that. Chris we need to sit down and talk about all you want to do with the Valiant and see what we have at the shop that will work on it.

Just so everybody know he is my son and glad to get him into a Mopar. He got the car from me and has big plans for it and am going to try and help him where I can.. And I am sure I will be doing the change over for him as I have done it on my 66 Dart and know what he will need to do it

Yea we really need to thats for sure. We will be able to do that in like 10 days when I come down for the cruise!!!! That would be sweet if you have a lot of stuff I will need for the car. I have officially decided to go with a 360 for the motor I want since the 440 wont fit
