Lost my Bright Lights Question

I was on high beams last night & out go the lights; low beam works, so can both bulbs go bad at the same time or is there some kind of fuse some where?
 
Hummmm, the switch being on the floor could have gone faulty. Try a test light on the various wires out of the switch. A schematic would be of great help.
 
Odds are that one bulb has had hi beam out for a while and you hadn't noticed. Most often the pass side hi beam went and you didn't see dark till drs side went. Seen this umpteen times.
 
I agree with Rumblefish, years ago the dimmer switch on the floor would go bad and you would lose the high beams. They may work sometime and sometime not.
 
i say dimmer switch too. click it on and off a few times and see if they flicker or anything. its one of those things that gets messed up often from kicking it, carpet, or window leaks. check the harness too as it could have a short under the carpet.
