Did you know this is a direct swap ? I didnt so maybe someone else didnt know either.
62lancer pops in here every now and then. He just bought a /6 Aspen and swapped in a '84 Grand Fury (cop car) 318 and all including K-member. Direct fit..... I wouldnt have thought it..... but then again Ma Chrysler didnt change a lot of things. Anyways.... the little '84 cop 318 apparently scoots the Aspen along juuuuuuust fine. Not to mention it now has the quick ratio steering and sway bars and all that jazz the cop car had. All this and it was built on the cheap too. He is a first class car parts scrounger... kinda my hero. Guaranteed the Aspen will be for sale soon. I will give more details once I see this beast.

Actually...yes I did...:-D. Direct swap for the J-body (80-83 Cordoba and Mirada), too.

Was he able to get the rear cop sway bar from the M for his Aspen, too?

Yup, same here. Actually the only suspension upgrade he got was a heavier duty sway bar. The torsion bars are all the same.

..guess my inexperience with the M and J bodied cars is showing. Well its a good peice of info to have. I dont know if he has the rear sway bar or not.
Well I learned more today... who woulda thunk I could do that.

Most people's experience with the M-bodies comes from sitting in the stands of the county fair watchin' em get smashed up in the demo-derbies.

What you posted is a good reference. I can see in the near future where the F's will be on the rise and M's will be donating suspension parts for upgrades: K's for V8 swaps, cop P/S boxes, front and rear sway bars, 11" brakes, etc.

The K frame in my Diplomat came from a Mirada then spent 15 years in a Volare. Who knows where it will be next.

don't forget the late K members are reinforced more and have a skid plate from the factory.
