I'm certain I've asked before but it's been long enough that I can't find my thread. Here is what I have; 65 dart w/ a 273 and power steering, floor shift. I do not want the headache of headers but do know that the early 273 manifolds are very restricting. I want to put a better flowing manifold in. Who's done it and what does it take? I have access to a machine shop so I can mill, grind, or whatever.
So
Who's done it?
What manifolds did you use?
How did you make them fit?

Thanks a million guys
Joel

the 340HP manifolds will fit with manual steering.

i never tried with PS, but you might need to change the valve on the top of the gear box and maybe grind a little here and there to get them to work

honestly for a stock or even mild 273 the stock manifolds are fine. heck they would probably even be OK on a stock 318.

i can't find any pics of the magnum manifolds i used to have, but they dump at the rear and i think it would interfere with the steering column ... in a 67+ they would probably work, but in <=66 i don't know if they would work.
