I snapped this pic off my 94 Ram van and it shows with and w/o a/c routing. I also added a pic of the front of the motor and maybe this stuff will help someone out piecing things together. I'm scrapping this thing soon so any other help it can provide let me know.

There is also a smashed Durango R/T near me. Is anything worth saving?

Huh, might need to look into this. I was going to buy an A/C delete pulley from Rockauto. Now keep in mind belt size and power steering position is different in vans, compared to trucks. Seems according to your pic, if I threw a van pump on, giving more room for the battery box, I could just buy the shorter belt. Thanks for the pic.

Be cautious with that, when they dont have AC, the brackets are different and put pulleys in different position. ie if you have a Dodge Ram with AC and you pull the compressor off the non AC belt wont fit. You have to get a no AC bracket or use custom length belt. Not sure about the van bracket but Ram, Dak and Dur are all the same. The AC delete kit refered in prior post is just a bracket that bolts to old AC mounting holes with an idler on it. They are not very flattering to look of engine.

Now we just need a PS delete setup to go with the AC delete. ;-)

The alternator bracket is similar but different, and hard to find, for non a/c. Power steering delete is harder yet!

As far as I understand, they never did a PS delete setup on a Magnum. In one of the Magnum builds Ehrenberg did, he couldn't come up with a way to get enough belt wrap on the water pump without the PS pump, so he just plumbed the PS output back into the PS reservoir and hung it off the motor to run the belt around.

I have pictures of a drag truck with no PS pump, but he used undersized pulleys, which made for a little more wrap. I sent Ehrenberg the picture and he didn't think that was enough without the undersized pulleys, and wasn't sure it was good even with them.

So, far as I know, I've never seen a good setup for a PS delete. But I am so far from all-knowing that it isn't funny, so I'm sure there is something.

I run into plane jane vans in the yard all the time. I'll see what I can dig up and post pics.

I'll be doing a power steering delete but I plan on trying to move the Ac compressor to close to where the ps pump goes. It will mean a custom bracket but well worth it imho to get that compressor off the top of the engine.

It looks like they just hacked off the bracket where the a/c starts. The PS pump is up higher though. I see the pics in that thread are also plugging the fitting for the heater core. I'll have to see if my PS bracket bolts have the right spacing to move up to the head.

I run a van pump bracket and was able to keep the stock battery tray. The bracket puts the pump just a tad downward. Works like a champ.

I found one at the yard today and here's the pics.

I don't have any pics of it off hand, but my cousin and I put a magnum in his 46 Ford pickup, no ac, no power steering. We used an alt mount from an ac truck, and made a simple idler that bolted to that bracket with a grooved universal pulley to replace the ps. I'll dig and see if I have a pic.

The exhaust manifolds on that Dakota R/T are probably worth grabbing.

The alt/ bracket look the same just cut off just past the pulley. It looks like that Durango R/T hit a pole so the front is caved in. They do cut the cats off before sticking them in the yard so not to bad at getting them out.

On my 2000 5.9 I deleated the A/C pump and installed a belt to fit. Length unknown, but the auto part store had it as I spec'ed it to be a belt for the said engine without A/C. It fot like the above picture and works excellent.

The belt should have a # on it. Is your ps pump up high or down low?
