I might have to do some 'xperiments with this article. I was once going to play with this. I do have an old wirefeed with a bad transformer. If I can find something to replace it or rewind it, would give me a starting point

I didn't study that article. How thick is it supposed to cut?

I believe you can also use the same approach that the add-on tig boxes use, that is a spark gap so called "high frequency" box I saw an article couple years ago that did so.
