I'm guessing it requires cutting two holes and adding screens? Is there something else that I'm missing?

Thanks,
Craig

Depends on the scoops and how far you want to take it. Just adding two holes is adding fresh air while adding a scoop like a fiberglass one that is designed with racing is another story since you don't want the carb sitting to low or high. This also depends on the scoop being used.

I'm thinking your thinking about the twin scoops like what came with the Duster Twister package or on the Scamps right?

I figure the best you could do with those is construct a duct to feed fresh air. Maybe use that air cleaner with the twin round duct openings. I think they call it "Ram Air Box" or something like that. I see it in the back of the mags.

Thanks rumblefish! I think I actually have one of those air cleaners hanging around somewhere in my garage! I'll see what I can do for ducts, I'm just wondering if there was something I needed to do in case it rains? I don't plan on driving in the rain, but after last summer, it could rain at any given time on the most sunny of days!

Rain should not effect the car/engine in anyway. Save the soaking of a distributor. The Carb/engine should be able to suck down almost any amount of rain. Save a glass of water like rain down it's throat. LOL

6 pak cars have a base with a tube to drain water. You could do something similar to this set up in the duct work.

Hello ckj688, if you talking about the twin scoops there is a guy on e-pay selling repro rubber gromits that have a raised lip to keep water from just sliding in. I havn't gotten ant yet but I am going to. They were like $30. I'm gonna try and find it.
