I have this media blasted/cast iron painted manual steering coupler that I no longer need. $30 shipped. Its in Ohio, 44413. Send me a pm!

Manual and power boxes have a different spline on them.

The couplers swap between columns, just have to have proper length column which is easily adjustable.

I didnt know you could adjust the length of the column...I'm going to have to figure that out! I'm going to be selling my manual column (circa 1972 Demon, floor shift), and buildiing a ps column/floor shift out of my parts that I have lying around.

So, the way it sounds, if you adjust the length of the column, and swap your power steering coupler for this coupler, than you really don't need to get an adapter. Sweet!

Correct. Takes a couple of nylon bolts from HD/Lowes/hardware store to accomplish.

It requires total disassembly of your column.

I just did some research, it does look like the internals are the same. Both the power and manual couplers use the same rebuild kit. If you are interested, send me a pm, and I'll get it on the way to you! I'm glad crackedback gave me that info. Thanks!

You should not extend or collapse the factory steering column. It can weaken it and could be grounds for a legal issue in an accident and may come back on you

thanks for the info to all on this thread, however looking to see what it would take to extend column and what moparparts said im going to go another route, but good luck with sale and this is a good deal for someone
