What master cylinder was used on the SS cars? Schild’s book claims it’s 2823576, but I suspect that might be incorrect.

I don't remember the part number but I do recall that it was a small piston diameter dual outlet master cyl for a higher hydraulic pressure ratio because of the front disc brakes and no power brake and there was a proportioning valve in the rear brake line to reduce pressure on the rear drum brake cyl's. some thing like 60/40? To keep the back end from coming around.
 

From my research they used the factory A body disc brakes Master. Same for brakes just large bolt pattern disc and 10 x 1 3/4 rear brake shoes on the 8 3/4 large bolt battery rear and 10 x 2 1/2 on the Dana large bolt

I think I was told once apon a time back then it was a master cylinder for a A body car with drum brakes without power brakes when a power brake was used the master cylinder piston would be larger so as to reduce brake pressure for better control. Drum brakes with 1" wheel cylinders would require a master cylinder with a bore about 1/2 wheel cylinder size to get the necessary pressure.
 
Thank you for all your wisdom. I just bought a p/n 2808600 master cylinder. This has a 1” piston, has the outlets on the left side, and is believed to be the correct unit for these cars.

One step closer!
