Okay I am thinking about which motor to build for my 71 Dart Swinger. The car has the original 318 (with 89k miles) and needs hardened valve seats installed. So I am trying to decide which motor to have built for it. I am not planning anything fancy just a good solid driver.

The 360 could be built while the Dart is still running. I really don't have any plan to sell but I know that it could happen at some point for some unknown reason.

Anyway I know the cost would be pretty much the same for which ever I choose to have built. Except for IF the 318 goes back in I would likely stay with the 2 barrel. Just to save money so I can start on the Duster!

If the 318 has a forged crank , and you go with the 360. You would need an externally balanced flexplate or converter. So that would add to the cost.

The 360 I have has a trans also. So I have all that! :thumleft:
