I have been doing a fair bit of reading on performance upgrades and have a few questions for you guys. again keep in mind I'm trying to make this a budget build
There is a local guy that is going to sell me a Weiand X-celerator intake and used headers for a 340/360 for a combined price of 400$ CAD.
if i pair this with the following:
will i need upgraded valves, springs and retainers, and a beefy cam timing chain set?
I believe that that cam makes its power above 3000RPM and the intake is good for something like 2500-6500rpm

- .508/292 purple cam
- Weiand X-Celerator Intake
- 750cfm carb of some sort
- home ported j or x heads with 2.02 valves
- long tube headers and 2.5" dual exhaust
- 4:10 axle gears
- 727 trans with 3000 stall (eventually I will A833 Over Drive swap it)
- I believe I will need to get domed pistons to boost pressure up around 10:1 - 10.5:1
- this would likely require premium fuel which is fine for me
