This what Ebay calls a "Best Offer Auction", just make your best offer, that's how this auction works, don't pay attention to the opening bid!

I guess he just put something in the opening bid to fill space. I bet he'll ****, though, if someone with more money than brains actually pulls the trigger and buys them for the Buy It Now price!

Yeh, well, let's jus' say that when somebody posts an "asking price" I haven't had much luck with an "offer."

I once "offered" less on a spectrum analyzer, and the automated software immediately rejected it. Turns out there WAS no "alternative offer"!!!
