That's why I like distilled spirits. Almost all of the bad ju ju is purposely left out of the bottle. That's impossible to do with beer and wine. (good thing it's low proof) Wine is worse because it is fruit based.
Seriously? Damn! As an ex "beer snob", I wish someone would have told me this about 20 years ago, would have saved me a lot of money on NSAIDS and Acetominophen.

Went to a bonfire once where the price of admission was a Bottle of Boone’s Farm. Must have been 50+ people sitting around the fire passing bottle after bottle. In short time, they were all gone except the Sangria. That was awful!
I admit I am more "cultured" as I have a can of smoked oysters with my Boone!!!! instead of those nasty sardines!!!!

So were were just at the grocery store yesterday. My eye just "happened" to land in the vienna sausages on the shelf. I was shocked, but not surprised. The cans are about 1/2 the height they used to be. We're gettin fleeced comin and goin.
And they are packaged in China and the sausage is ground up bats with some port for flavor!! Go figure????
Probably. I ate um when I was a kid. Maybe that's what's wrong with me.
Those with soda crackers washed down with a RC Cola was lunch when Pa and I went fishing. (It would be called child neglect today!???)
I'm thinkin' back that Dad would stock the pantry and camper and did the weekly shopping Friday night as Stepmom was busy late closing the bank. The Ol' Man was thrifty and would bag as that had been his 2nd job, the bags were packed.
Vienna sausages and canned mushrooms were 0.33 or not bought lol.
