thinking about going electric water pump to help cool things down. I was told the reverse flow pump was the one to get anyone used this and had any luck. Car will probably be driven more on the street than raced.

any reason you would suggest not using one? I see you have them on your 408 stroker, in the pic any way.

If your mechanical water pump can't keep your car cool on the street, an electric sure isn't going to help.

What kind of fan do you have?

Do you have a shroud?

When is it getting hot? At idle or in traffic? Out on the open highway? Both?

How do you know it's getting hot? Factory gauge? After market gauge?

I was just curious about the electric, I have heard a few people say they had cooling issues and when they went with the meziere pump it helped out. looks to be when cruising down the highway right now,but haven't drove it a lot just yet. just want to be prepared for the hot summer cruising weather. I have a griffin aluminum radiator with a cooling components electric fan that has a shroud and covers the whole radiator. and I am using an aftermarket gauge. I guess it hasn't gotten real hot pushing 200 but warmer than what I want to see it since it isn't real hot out yet. The motor is a .030 440 with 13.5 compression with indy 440-1 cast iron heads. .650 roller cam and single plane and dominator with 8" convertor.
