Anyone within driving distance of Milan Dragway in Milan Michigan should try to make it out to one of the Heads Up Racing Series events held the first Saturday of each month during the summer. There is one more coming up in October, which I think is the weekend of the 5th and 6th. One qualifying round takes place on Friday, then two qualifying rounds Saturday morning followed by eliminations.

I should be there with hopes of seeing @ValiantS making some passes in that cool all-motor Valiant.

Thanks for the props Bob, and thanks for coming by with your brother. I couldn't make a pass because I learned the motor imbalance issue early Sat morning. But I decided to stay until eliminations to trip the beams in-case my competition was broken AND stay around and promote the track making it a 'car show'/visiting with spectators. It was great to talk with so many and I enjoyed their compliments and conversations.

At this point in the week the weather is looking very promising for the heads up series race this Saturday at Milan.
GOOD! We're going. We expect some new bests all weekend. I know Alguire will be there with the teams little red Corvette FROM THE WEST COAST. Also Theisen, whom went a couple 7.6s ON THE BUMPER will be there in our ALL-MOTOR class (I'll bet he's wondering how well mine is running?) I chipped some paint off in a car show last week so, it'll be a touch lighter this month.

One major issue I finally fixed was a lean BOG at the hit and/or getting it on the tbrake. Last weekend, all passes were on the tbrake which is nice because we use a .400 pro tree. Either way the weather and some tuning 'giving it what it wanted' got me down quicker. There is still another 2 tenths in the combo with a few more 'easy' changes I fully believe. To give that some credibility I always believed what I typed was reasonable, no different now. That'd put the HP about 975 which i feel is respectable considering. My wife uploaded a grainy video from the fastest pass on Youtube but, newer quality versions of it and more passes will be uploaded soon.

What ET does it take to be competitive in the class. Do they run 1/4 mile all the time.

Thanks for coming by and saying hello again Bob! I hope I made it some fun to watch.
My pleasure indeed. I enjoy watching this type of racing when I can make it out there. The Valiant looks good out there even if it is not at the front of the pack. Thanks for bringing it out again. Hopefully this series keeps growing and we see even higher car counts and spectator numbers next year. Car counts were pretty good this year.

I think the quicker All Motor cars are running in the 7.70s range, and there were a couple 7.60s this year. The All Motor class runs 1/4 mile while some of the other faster classes like Ultra Street are running 1/8 mile, but the Ultra Street cars are running like 4.60s in the 1/8th.

So, from my perspective, if nothing changes for next year and I do an "8.0 combination" I'd likely go into the finals ON OCCASION. With that said there are several cars (most of them in fact) that run 7.9's to 7.6's. I'm not sure based on something I saw elsewhere that you know this is a NON-power-adder class. It's called "All-Motor" FWIW. Looking at the data and my program I'm pretty sure with some tweaks that can be done in a few days to my car, it'll run in the 8.20's. To give that some credence, my car has always done what I expected it to do and more. In this I am saying more that I'm not far from it able to go 8.0's next season whatever engine/trans package I choose. In GOOD air of course, which is 8-900 DA. If NMCA "na 10.5" dissolves then I'd guess a bunch of them guys will come here and that won't help me go rounds which would fall under "changes from this 2024 year"
