I am doing a build and was wondering if anybody has an official spec or template information for the outside mirror placement on a 1965 Barracuda. I'm only interested in something official from Chrysler if there is something available.
My car had aftermarket mirrors that I removed and they are up close to the vent windows . I am going to go with that location in general unless I can find something more specific. This is all I have to go by at the moment and it shows the mirror close to the vent window.

I can send you measurements for both a remote and twin post driver side door. They didn't have a factory passenger side mirror option. There are dealer installed passenger side mirrors however. Not sure if there ever was a template for it though. The NOS RH dealer mirror kit I have doesn't have a template in the box.

I just need the measurement for the driver's side and I can go from there. They are twin post mirrors . Only one of my cars has 2 holes on the driver's side that match the mirror . I like that location and the car I'm working on had aftermarket and I'm not using those holes. So since I have to make nw ones I'd like to make it look factory if I can.

Did whoever installed the aftermarket mirror happen to use on of the original holes? That may help you locate it.

Doesn't seem that way as they are different from the driver's side to the passenger side. Looks like they just guessed and I don't believe this car had mirrors when new.

The driver side location should be different than the passengers side. Not sure I've ever seen them in the same location on any of the early A's.

I think you're right . I may just leave that one off or put it on for looks .

I was in the same conundrum with my '66 Dart HT. Somewhere along it's life, someone had installed some cheesy aftermarket mirrors. I ended up removing the passenger side and welding up the mounting holes. On the driver's side, one of the original holes was used, which placed the mirror in the exact location as the photos above.

Yeah, someone installed some cheap racing mirrors on this one. I don't think it had any when new as none of the holes were right.

trying to locale he proper mirror mounting holes on a 65 valiant, I'm assuming Barracuda is the same. That blue diagram seems like i might be helpful but it's way too small for me to read. Can anyone post dimensions? I'm using twin post re-pop OER which look like nice quality pieces.

Cudamark showed what you are needing in post # 7. I checked a car I had that previously had a mirror and the holes were as he showed.
