I bought my 1964 Valiant May 2024 and it had the Florida title, A pillar Vin tag, fender tag, build sheet, and the original 1963 service records. I transferred the title and it still has the fender tag but the VIN Plate is now missing / lost during resoration. How can I get another VIN Plate?

A few years ago, was going to buy a car from a longtime friend, vin fell off years ago.

At the time, found a company that reproduces vins, specific makes/models/years.

Appeared to be legit, legal, needed documentation, proof of ownership, manufacturer's consent for the designs, etc.

Quick search today, found plenty of places that ask no questions.

Has to be a way, some states relented and now allow the r&r of a vin for restoration.
Would hate to have to get a replacement vin, that can't be fun.

The reality is no one has ever checked the actual vin on my junk. Dmv only asks for ppwk, inspection only scans registration in window, no one even knew the vin was in the door jamb.

These folks might can do it.

Since you own the car and have the title check with the state of Florida about a state issued VIN to replace the missing VIN plate. I have seen these on more modern cars.

I just watched a YouTube video titled "1966 Mustang Restorations Part 7 - Moving the Vin Number". In this video they show two 'hidden' VIN locations that Ford put on their cars. Did Mopar do the 'hidden' VIN trick and if so, where is it?

64 just had the plate on the door jam as far as I know.

Partial VINs elsewhere didn't happen until later
