MLS .030 Had Gaskets - Seal?

I'm going to install an MLS .030 gasket on my stock 318. Do I need to apply any type of sealant on the gasket to ensure proper compression? Very low stock 8.5 compression but wanted to ask for input.

Had gasket because prior blew during overheat ; )

Have the heads been checked for warpage? That is the main concern; being warped with the overheat. (Man, that's the 3rd time that has come up today LOL!)

I would use copper spray on them, both sides and make sure the rivets let the heads sit completely flat to the block. The factory milling surface is too rough for them normally - so they may seep at first, and then stop. Or they won't stop...
