I’ve had this unit for a few years and have never used it. It rotates easily and evenly with no excessive play. Ring gear date 2 6 70. Won’t ship. Pick up in Grove City, Ohio 43123. Thanks for looking.
$475 firm.

The cone unit will be technically incorrect for the 741. They were all Dana Powerlock clutch style units, not the cone style. The cone unit will fit and work, but none ever came in the 741 case.

Ok, but why does build sheet say sure grip ? Can we find correct unit ?

I have to correct u on that 1 Rusty. I’ve had a few slant and 318 69-74 trucks that had 741 cases with the cone Kim

Cool. I've never seen an original cone type in an a body specific 741 though. Have you?

Dang, you guys make it hard to be a moderator around here. LOL

Yes, 741s also used the cone type. Not saying ithis one came from an A body tho.

Don't know where or what this one came from.

It's dated 1970 so it should have a cone type since they dicontinued the power loc.
