Hello everyone! Was wondering if anyone here successfully installed A body headers on a d100. I have a 73 d100 has a 360 that I'm currently working on and I have some summit racing headers off my 69 valiant that I'm not using. They do hang low for the steering link on a car so I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I also have some doug's d453 that are on my valiant currently and they do hug the block pretty well anyone know if they'll fit a 73 d100? I wouldn't mind putting the cheaper summit headers back on my valiant and putting the Doug's on my d100 if they'll fit. The d100 has the 360 that i do plan on putting into my valiant anyways.
I appreciate any info
Sam.

Passenger side fit perfectly, not so much for the driver side. Took some measurements looks like the drive side doug header will fit.

I am using a set of shorty headers on my 1st gen dodge.. They fit great! I'd save the dougs for an A Body or resell as the truck specific long tube headers are typically half the price of the Dougs

Hedman makes a nice fitting truck header, and they are decent quality on the low side of header pricing.

Love the truck!

I second the vote for Hedman if you have to buy new. I had a set on my 73 and they fit nicely. Really good spark plug access as well.

Finally had time to get the doug header off my valiant, and it fits the truck really well. Alot better then they did on the valiant.

Dang! They fit really well. Is the #7 tube kind of tight to the frame rail, or is it just the angle of the pic? Have you tried the passenger side yet?

Those do seem to fit well. I just bought the headman 79080 for mine. Hope they fit that well.

It is a bit close kinda sits in the frame then kicks out. Passenger side looks identical to the summit brand, I do not plan on trying to pull that side off my valiant.

I wish Hedman still made their Tork Step headers for D series pickups. I bought a set to put on my D350 with a 360. Hedman said they only fit a W150, but I tried them and they were some of the best fitting and working headers I've ever had. I bought them around 2003-2004ish.

Never heard of them. What was special about them? Now you’ve peaked my interest.

They were stepped headers kind of like the way TTI does some of their headers. They had 3/8 flanges, then started out with 1 5/8 tubes for a foot or so, then to 1 3/4 tubes all the way to a 3" collector. I know it was a big ol D series engine compartment, but they were the easiest headers I have ever put on in my life. I think I could have probably stood back and thrown them in place...lol. Hedman no longer makes them, and who knows if they still have the blueprints. I can't imagine that they were a big seller, so I get it. I went and dug out my old receipt from Summit and Googled the part number to see if I could find some for the D100 I'm going to put the 5.9 Magnum in, but had no luck.
