Thanks for posting these kits. This is a great look for little money. They sell glue on and the push on caps. Depends on your battery.

the embossed side and top plates are only in black with colored caps from what I saw in the list of auctions. I sent them a question on this.

I was done with the resto batteries, they didn’t last long and cost way to much. $409 bux now. What a joke. I can get regular batteries to last 8-10 years.

Interesting. I have always had the yellow caps on my battery topper and resto batteries but according to the chart and from what I saw on Hamtramck Registry, GREEN caps were standard for 1971 340. The higher amp alternator was optional and standard on AC cars. Mine has no radio so I assume it was the 37 AMP alternator. I guess I am getting green caps !

Here's some slick kits to make your Parts store battery look like a original Mopar one. I bought a Everstart from Wal Mart that had smooth sides and top.
The kits are shipped from Belgium so they will take a while to get there.

UPDATE 1/22. they also have embossed plastic "Mopar" side plates for that original look!

any issues with the caps leaking? i see vent holes in them.

I put a topper in my battery.

Found the bosses on the topper around the posts reduced the depth and the bat clamps could not sit down enough.

I ended up using a hole saw and cutting the topper bosses off. The topper fit much better this way. The batt clamps hide the bidder hole.

Also there is a slightly wider batt clamps that you can buy so it fits the topper better

I ordered a set of stickers and caps on 9/15. I contacted Weskcar as to when I might see my order. They responded quickly stating that they are in France & shipping to the states takes anywhere from 30 to 60 days. :)

Looks real nice, yall. I don't see anything for prior to 66 though.

These are what I ordered. Their ebay page is pretty good. Listed as 59-65.

Cool, thanks! I'm unsure my battery can accommodate that kit, as it is completely flat on top. I don't know if I could pry the top off without destroying the case. I'll have to look at it closer.

I see now. Those caps just stick on the flat surface of the battery.
Now you are catching on. Flat tops have stick on caps. Mine had the 2 rectangular caps that sealed 3 cells. The push in caps work with those. MIne started out as a Wal Mart Never Start. Made by Johnson Controls.

I got a battery dress up kit from Weskcar too but got a different version that had embossed plates instead of stickers. Used the same WalMart battery. Boy was I surprised when I got a package with a bunch of European postage from Belgium - that's where this company is located. Yellow caps are correct for this car since it ws an AC car with the 59 amp battery. The white cap (someone will ask...) is what came on Mopar replacement batteries and has a dot in the middle that turns black if the water level gets low. Somebody asked about the stick on stuff falling off. I drove the car 6000 miles this summer including across CA, AZ, NM and TX in late June - if it was going to fall of, I think it would have done so!
