Mopar gassers?

-
The old Anglia? Willis, One guy had a Fiat with a porche engine with maybe 6" slicks. But mg, it didn't weigh 1200 lbs. Man, that was a great class. More or less, Run What You Brung as the saying was then. I remember one guy that had Chicken Picker on his car. Has a rubber chicken fastened to the rear and it would stick straight out all the way down the track. Now days that wouldn't be allowed.

Few more early-A funny/exhibition/AWB cars. Taken from HemiFred's gallery.

Does anyone know if those front and rear rims are available today?

Likely they're magnesium, which don't really get made for drag cars any more. Halibrand is still around though, they make street rod wheels and such. The rears look like '65 vintage Halibrand big windows, the front's might also be Halibrands but are more likely American Racing front runners. Ansen, Fenton or ET would be cheaper.

Try Ebay or Gasser Madness.

Found this looking around for you, looks like an old ad though.

The fronts go for big bucks, like over $2K.
