My point is that the FSM may describe how to set the preload with adjustable rockers. The fact that the intake rockers are offset is irrelevant to the preload.

rustycowll69, I was just trying to make clear a point that was brought up by you and another. Someone mentioned the 273 rockers must of been used on the 340 and not being stock, TRUE. You brought up the "TA" rockers on its 70' 340's. I was just clarifying that they are not the same and that the offset "TA" rockers would not work on the other LA motors unless additional work was done to the heads. So the rockers on his 69' 340 must of been from the 273's or aftermarket. Adjusting the backlash would be the same for both. This is a informational site and not everyone may know the difference between the two.
