My 56 Dodge, sitting on a 81 Dodge frame, ( shortened to fit ) 318, a833 , tilt telescoping column,,leather Dakota power seats,,still waiting for the box to come home from the body shop, they have had it 14 months, ( long story ) anyway almost done, BTW, frenched headlamps I did my self and painted British racing green!
I would love an about a 35 Dodge 6 cylinder coupe. One bad car!

Love the hood! My 50 Buick had a tilt hood also. You could tip it to either side or lift it right off with out any tools. Straight from the factory that way! Lol.

I love seen street rods at the drag strip. Grew up around the trailer queens of the NSRA shows and now that I am older I just prefer cars that see action.

I am fortunate enough to be the caretaker of this one. 30 Chevy chopped and channeled, 58 Nailhead, Saginaw 4spd and a 3:50 geared olds rear. Motor has only had a set of lifters put in it probably 20 years ago. Never been apart. Wife and I drive it everywhere.

There are a couple model A street rods i see at my local strip. One is a show car with a blown small block Chevy and giant tires, the other clearly a low buck build with single four barrel chevy small block.
The low buck build is almost a second and a half faster, in the eighth.

Saw both of these at local shows in AZ. Interesting builds.
First is a blown small block MOPAR, in a very nice 33/34 Dodge sedan.
Second is an International pickup with a flathead Packard straight eight, with a homemade 8/2/1 header, homemade blower manifold and drive for a 4-71 GMC blower.

Those are so cool! I love homemade ingenuity. I'm thinking about making a tunnel ram something like this.

That's a clone of the ramchargers first race car,the "High and Mighty". Worlds first tunnel ram.

Are you referring to the ramchargers tunnel ram? It was a metal box to mount the carbs, something similar to a header flange on the intake ports..... and rubber hose for the runners, with a couple straps holding it all in place. They could play with runner lengths by changing the hose. (You can see the straps in Scamp Rhondas' photo).
Result? Long rams, and crossrams, with tuned lengths to make torque at a specific rpm.
