Thanx for the complements doods :notworth: it's been fun but not anything like i how i planned it out to be, i guess that's how things happen sometimes. on to an update. i fired her up last week and all is good except for a small bottom rad hose leak, i must have not seated it correctly, not sure i like these hoses, might try some silicone couplers and hard pipe bent to shape. the cam is a comp. xe262h. i thought it would have a lil more bump to the idle but it does have excellent response as claimed. i finished the brake system last night, need to bleed it and then take her for a drive to get the cobwebs off :sleepy2:
poor video sound quality, it sounds MUCH better in person :glasses7: ...damm atl bent is loose again lol

i fixed that rad hose leak and poked around the trans fluid drip that has stopped leaking ? might be the dip stick tube ? do you guys put sealer around them once in place ? ...and yes i used a new o ring on it :D
i decided to knock the dust off of her and take her out for a short ride yesterday. everytime i drive this thing i get more pumped up about finally getting it finished. hopefully taking her to the shop this weekend to do that final sand and buff so i can put all the trim on and then move to the interior.

MOPAR BABY !

wheels came out nice, just needs a re-polish. getting the interior back together with a rear seat delete and i'm putting the stereo system back in since i have it already.

This is cool....I am just finding this thread.

I like the old Conquest TSI's and the Starion's....they were kinda new funky technology when they came out, and a few years ahead of their time.

SBM powered....I bet this thing is a beast.

Cool build/Car.

thats awesome

i love the look of those cars in rally trim without the flippy head lights

i always thought a srt4 motor would be fun in one

That's one badd *** looking ride you've got there !!! I so love how you color matched the engine to the car also !!! GREAT JOB !!!!

Id like to see that thing pull up with the V-8 rumble. I knew someone who had one of them in the elate 80s. All wheel drive I think it was. Did they make an all wheel drive Conquest?

Never a production AWD Conquest/Starion but Mitsu made them for Rally X . there's a guy in Australia who has an AWD AW Steering factory car that was sold to the public, but it's the only one know by me.
these are much better Mopar powered anyway ;)

the rally version also had a different grill and no floppy head lights

looked a lot better imho

update : i got her to the Mopars at the Marina and Crusin' the Coast and had a blast. she showed nice but still needs tweaks. another show in Houston next week then Mopars with Big Daddy in Ocala. after that time for some quarter miles runs to see what she can do.

Loved the looks of the conquests when they came out and bought one turbo stick shift cars back in the day! Love the body style and the fat tires! Would love to find an original one to buy!

That car is AMAZING, just the right balance between custom vs. original look IMO. The engine looks like it grew in there I might be tempted to build one of those someday. I bet it's quite a rush to drive as well :burnout:

Here's my favorite "moparbishi"....I've seen it in person. It's known as VR-440...as in "Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4", with a 440. Although, I believe this one started out as a Dodge Stealth. Since so many body parts are interchangeable between the3000GT and Stealth, it's hard to tell the difference!

She did pretty good for her first show

i was going to bring her to Mopars with Big Daddy this weekend but i was told they would put her in the PT Cruiser and 4 banger category so she'll sit this one out.

Glad i didn't bring her to the show. there were 2 cars in my class, an 86 more door omni and a 09 SRT4 :wack: i did get Big Daddy to sign my leg tho :D

ordering a manual valve body for the 904, i still can not get it to shift correctly after adjusting the cable MANY times. i think the VB was done wrong ...

That's just awesome. A friend had a 87 all black TSI, with some aftermarket parts massaging. ( Such, a cool car .) Would swap a 5.9 Magnum in one immediately , if not in the crappy world of California smog laws.
