Thanks guy's,

It's been a struggle up to this point. But this is the part I really enjoy doing. Putting it all back together. Still hoping for the end of August but if it takes longer, so be it.

That car will look great...and the engine bay, I can only dream of doing such a job one day.One question though...have I install my brake setup backward

As far as I know I've got them on correctly. The tech articles say, calipers forward and steering arm/balljoint towards the rear. Have you got a pic of yours?

Sorry to tell you Jack but your wrong the calipers go to the back like MoparFan said.

The 73-76 Abody disk brake set up has the calipers to the front. This creates an interference issue if you are using the 67-72 front sway bar. The solution is to swap spindles side to side so the caliper is to the rear.

MoparFan has made one booboo with his installation in that the calipers themselves are on the wrong side. The bleeder needs to be at the highest point. As they are installed in the picture the bleeder is down and will make for a hell of a time bleeding the system if he can get them bleed completely at all.

Thanks Dave, as stupid as it may sound I never tought of that, certainly save me a lot of swearing :-# . Will switch side the caliper.

So I installed it in the rigth position cuz i'm using a 72 swaybar (on the floor in the pic).

You are fine with the position of the calipers to the rear. The obnly other item I didn't mention is when mounting them to the rear you need longer rubber brake lines. If you used 73-76 lines they will be stressed when the wheel is turned left or right to the stops. The Aspen Volare line is the one most people use.

I installed mine forward in the stock location because I am also using a 73-76 spool mount K-member that takes the shorter sway bar that mounts further in on the control arm.

IT looks like we were both right. My setup is for the 73-76. I changed everything including the lower control arms. There is no issue with the swaybar this way as I also have the newer swaybar. I am not putting it on for now, but I may in the future. See Moparfan, you would not have been raining on my parade.
