My '82 D-150 parts truck has front discs'. I don't know if they're original to the truck, but assuming (uh, oh) they are, would they work on my '74 Dart Sport that now has 9" drums?

i really dont think so i think the hub is way to big
Most anything fits on a '74 A body car. B body brakes, E body brakes, R body brakes, FMJ body brakes, etc.
Don't throw away your drum brake knuckles they are worth money to guys who want to run the Viper brake system. The big 11.75 rotors slide right on your existing drum knuckles and then there is a kit that bolts on Viper calipers.

Thanks AndyF. That's good to know. 10"ers shouldn't be hard to do at all then. Cheap, too, if I can sell the 9" knuckles.

The D 150 should have 1.125" or something thick rotors. There is no original spindle setup to convert those to any A-body or B or E. I don't think A/B/E calipers can take that thick of rotor, but not real sure of that.
But I'm almost positive those D 150 rotors should have the same part number as 73 and later C-bodies. Check rock auto.

Thanks, AutoXCuda. I'll probably use 10" drums. I like those ceramic linings Muscle Car Brakes sells. In the late 70's I had metallic 11" shoes on my 70 Challenger R/T, with G-60's on the front, and L-60's on the back. That thing stopped faster than anything I've ever driven. One time, a kid ran out in front of me, I swear those brakes saved that kid's life! I know, they had to be warmed up a bit, but because they were so big, it still stopped well when cold.
I kinda figured the truck discs' would be too big. I have a guy interested in buying the truck when I get the parts out that I want. It'll be easier to move (and sell) w/ them on there.
