I have had several of those speedometer noises. I went electric and never looked back. My hated noise was the exhaust rap on decell when I had 2 1/2" exhaust. I went to 3" and an H pipe and it is gone!
most annoying, harmless noises?

Speedo tick. Started running open headers and all of a sudden I don't here it anymore ;)
Old mopar wipers going back and forth, I am sure they were quiet when new, but when the bushings start to wear, it will drive you nuts.
Any wind noise thru the door seals, window felts.
My old faithful jeep TJ there is a small squeek somewhere around the spreakers, rear roll bar.
SOB lets it self know every morning to work and back.
I cannot find it, even went as far has have my wife drive it to work and back with me in the back seat. LOL no luck
I will find it one day. 20 miles of torture every day when I drive it, even if I turn the radio up, I can still hear that noise.
Funny thing is everybody that rides in it including my wife cannot hear it.

Crane Gold rockers. Sounds like a sewing machine even when properly adjusted. I am adding more firewall insulation.
