Motor Mounts

-
I did a search on them, and every time they were mentioned it was a good review... I also met a guy who used them in a Dart with solid mounts and liked them as well.

OK, big secret, The Mopar Performance/Direct Connection crossmember and bolt through mounts were considered "proper" and they were the STOCK V8 73-76 A body crossmember and ALL B and RB bolt through motormounts.

Any stock V8 A body after 73 is a better choice because of the disc brakes and the stock V8 K member being the correct BB mount. Or the Disc brakes and crossmember can be installed in an older A body.

The stock 73-76 V8 k-member does NOT put the engine in the proper location. Otherwise Chrysler would not have been selling the Direct Connection k-member for all those years, for a lot of money. The mount saddles need to be moved.

Not sure where you'd put YOUR motor? BTW, this mod also works for installing 440s into the 81 Mirada body although the oil pan needs to be converted into a rear sump style for the cross action torsionbars.

Again there is a "Search" at the top of the page. Just type in your Keywords, "Big Block" K frame threads.
