Moving my Business.New location Build

-
I knew you would get it all done, looks good now just fill it full of customers.

Good luck with new place.
Thanks,
I am far from done, still have to move old lift and other shop related stuff like alarm system and exhaust fan.
My old landlord visited me at my new place earlier this week and told me to take my time moving because he is going two stories with the barn and would not be starting it until 3 weeks from now.
He is one cool guy.He is happy for me and knows I have been working like a dog.
I still want this move behind me.
I came home last night and noticed that my neighbors had trash piles and trucks filled with trash and realized that tomorrow was our annual trash day ,when they bring in two 40 yard containers so we can throw out excess trash. They do this twice a year, compliments of our trash service who pickup weekly.
So,last night back to the old shop to load up a truck full.
I caught the first container as it was unloaded at 7:30 am and unloaded my truck.Back to the house to clear all my trash form this move and previous bathroom remodel. Two truckloads and I was finished with my house.Managed to get one more load of trash from the old shop at 10:30 am.
What a great day 4 loads of thrash gone for free.
Now I am headed to the old shop to see how much I can get done,I really want to finish the Mazda or start back on my 74 Dart but got to get this move behind me and looks like it will be by me only until I round up some strong backs to drop my lift.

Today, I made a few truck loads of parts and file cabinets from old shop to new shop in the morning.
I then made the family lunch to celebrate mothers day.Great to see my mom, been working too much...
In the evening ,I got one more load of trash from both shops and dumped all of it in my friends dumpster.
I am a certified trash man.It is what I do...
While at my new locations I took pictures of my customers Dodge Stealth, blown head gaskets and needs guides real bad.I will be tearing down tomorrow and sending the heads off. These Mitsubishi heads will need to be straightened by the machinist(bad about twisting),new guides and full valve job $$$

Monday post:
So busy today taking care of a lot of loose ends form my move and dealing with customers.Tim got the mazda finished. The whole reason this truck needed a motor is because previous owner rear ended a car and the motor mount on driver side gave and motor went back crushing the oil filter and he drove it home with no oil.
I was going to put the old ranger front bumper but is different.
I jacked up the Mazda bumper on both sides with brackets loose and a little hammering and got it straight enough.Front grille came off in pieces to reattach drivers headlight ,just popped out of it adjuster.New motor mounts were installed before mounting the motor Friday and a new a/c drier was installed today after start up.
It is running great and a/c blowing 43 degree with temps in the 90's today.
Order aftermarket grille from San Antonio and will get it tomorrow.
Here a picture of the new shop truck, the old ford to the right is 86 F150 with
300-6 and three speed but I sure the mazda will get better mileage...
My 86 will be on standby for trailer pulling...

Rough week at work,I got motors out of the old shop, some good and some scrap.
The Mazda truck is earning it keep.
Here is a truckload of old computers and monitors,I used to sell computers on the side, man I am a pack rat.
Took computers to Goodwill and then to Salvation Army and both turned me down. They said to clean them and return....If I clean them I sell them.
All the monitors work.Oh well Goodwill will get them tonight in front of one of their trailers.I could just throw them in a dumpster but I do believe in recycling.
Well got my used oil container behind my shop and my Kellog-American compressor, back there also....borrowed a fork-lift to load and unload.

Went to the shop to do my mailers and 2 weeks of paperwork and deposits.

I moved a lot of my stuff home during my business relocation and my front yard is like a disaster zone.
So I decorated it more in lines of my hill billy frame up truck restoration that I am trying to pull off before I can bring my torch home and cut that thing up for scrap....
You are probably thinking, man I am glad he does not live next to me...
It will be cleaned up before the Real Estate start dropping in this neighborhood.
Well here is a picture.

Oh I'd take you as a neighbor any day. You should see some of the crap Billy's dad has piled up around his house. At least you have good scenery. :-D

The new location is looking terrific! Keep up the fine work. It'll be worth it in the end.

Have not done much to the shop nor my dart.
Money a little tight but had to get the shop heat under control...
Even with the swamp cooler and 48" shop fan these 103 degree days keep my shop at 99 most of the day.
My business neighbor is a roofer and he gave me a fan off of a 10 ton unit that I was going to use as an exhaust fan.
Cut me a 3 foot hole in the back of the shop and getting ready to mount it and decide to go ahead and figure the wiring first and oops it is a 220 volt fan.
No more 220 available in my fuse box.The main reason my second lift is not installed....
So I got this hole in the back off my shop!!!

I went to Home Depot and bought this 32" drum fan(discounted because it was dented),took the wheels off and took the panel, shroud off the other fan and mounted up and plugged it in and viola....Air conditioning....It is 95.4 in my shop now.
Sure beats the old shop it was always 105-120 there...
Hope everyone is staying cooler than me.
