Moving rear end back

-
I'll use Caltracts or a 4 link before slapped bars. The pinion snubbed is pretty good to a point. The MP books even suggest moving away from them after a while.

And somehow, despite all that, there are still mopars running well into the 8s in the 1/4 with nothing more than super stock springs. Sometimes simple works just fine.

heard that rumor many times before but never seen one, you? i put that right up there with the 3/4 race cam and elusive 440 hemi.

You ever see a Hemi super stock a body? Did you ever see the KOS race series that used to run? I am guessing you have not, because those are but a few examples.

But, back on subject........it is pretty easy to drill a new center pin hole in the spring pack at home, and spring pin bolts are available in many sizes at most any NAPA auto parts store.....

centering the wheels looks nice. will make the car longer in wheelbase, which should improve the ride a hair. is not helping, but hindering traction, taking weight off the rear wheels, and shifting it forward. if you don`t think every little bit helps on traction, you`ve never had a 750hp on leaf springs. it did help to move them forward, but not enough !

1" inst going to be much to do anything to effect spring ride etc.. its the length of your thumb from knuckle to nail tip usually. that isnt as much as one thinks it is. one should consider traction bars over a snubber in any performance minded setup no matter what. because it controls the actual spring wrap personally not the center of the pinion nose. makes a massive difference and can be more controlled and consistent. im sure old guys will argue and i understand as the snubbers work but have limits. its just not 1068 anymore and technology has moved on beyond, way beyond.

It's something you'll have to try to be sure of. No doubt considering GM cars run a pic centered on the spring that it can be made to work no matter what.

I don't run a snubber. I just left the springs clamped in the front and cut the clamp off the rear. It dead hooks but I'm only making about 500hp at the crank. Maybe with more it wouldn't.

i have in fact and they are 4 link cars nothing leaf spring about them. ss/ah like the current record 8 sec cars are not leaf cars. dont know of any other super stock hemi class in the 8 sec range. care to share?
