Here is a little 383 I put together. I just ran the snot out of it today. Its just a little stockish 383, nothing to out there. Build is as follows

383 block 30 over
383 crank
383 rods w/ARP bolts
383 oil pan
Summit racing oil pan gasket/windage tray
KB flat tops
Procomp straight plug heads, mild clean up Easy fit for most headers and stock manifolds
Aluminum roller rockers
MRL custom hydraulic roller 227/231 .550"
RPM intake
Proform carb 750 mech wo/choke or 650 mech with choke, your choice
FBO Ignition(Out-performed the MSD 7!)

It ran well, made good power and was all in by 5200rpm.

436HP at 5200
460+TQ from 3750-4800rpm peaked at 467tq

Asking price is $7200 complete carb to oil pan minus the water pump and housing. Im a little flexible on the price, cash is KING!

Price drop. I really just need to sell this to free up capital. I would like to make a little money on this to cover the time spent and dyno time, but I will take a reasonable offer. This is a great little 383 and it makes some pretty good power. So lets get it done and in your ride for this coming season.

I need the room in the shop. I have work coming in and I need to free up some space. I built this little 383 to see what it would do in a mild combo and to sell it. Make me an offer, if I don't make any money, so be it. I need the room so I can make money. So lets make a deal!

WOW, so no interest in this 383 at all? Man I thought I would get something. This is a hell of a deal. Only 1 low ball offer of $5000(sorry but that nuts). A full roller engine, tuned, complete drop in ready making more power than a stock 440 6 pack. Come on this has to appeal to someone out there that needs a good 383 BBM. Im willing to break even on this, but sure don't want to fund your resto.

So lets talk!

$6550

Bump

Need it gone. Anyone know anyone who needs a full roller 383, let them know about this one. Its a super nice engine. Runs smooth has great power and the price is good for an engine like this.

Well I guess this was a bust. I thought the 383 was still popular, missed the mark on that one. I need the money back in the bank to pay the bills or Im in big trouble.

If I take off the fuel pump($90), carb($500), fuel line for carb($50) I can drop it down to $5900. That will cover all the parts and machine work. That means all the labor and dyno time is free. But I have to get the money back into the bank. Im just about tapped out. With taxes due and the wife's Tumor medicine there is not much left over. So, anybody need a good 383??

Mike,

I wish I needed it but I'm in the middle of a 470 build. I will pass the word along anywhere I
think it will do some good.

A couple of questions: Isn't that a Performer RPM; not an RPM as listed?

I'm kind of surprised that it's all done by 5200 rpm (not that it's a bad thing).

Probably a pretty smooth idle at the camshaft duration listed?

Is there a list of your custom camshaft grinds on your site anywhere? Is this cam one that
you are currently using on your other engines?

Thanks, John

Sorry for the very late reply. Have been busy and not much time to get on here. The block is a 1966. I still have it and need it gone.

$5000 for this engine, way less than what I have in it. That will be for the engine, no carb or water pump or shipping cost. But it is new, with dyno runs.

The season is here, so lets get this off my shop floor and into a nice ride!
