What's your combination ? Year car ,engine size ,compression, camshaft size ,gears and intended usage? ) A stock Orange box does good ,in near stock applications.Who has made the switch or tested both msd 6a ignition box or Mopar orange box? Is msd worth it? Any noticeable difference?
The orange box is good for leaving you stranded. Always carry a second one in the glovebox if that’s the route you choose.
HEI is a good damn choice too. Don’t overlook it.
Been there done that twice.Who has made the switch or tested both msd 6a ignition box or Mopar orange box? Is msd worth it? Any noticeable difference?
I ran the orange box for 5 years with no issues. Upgraded to the chrome box and kept the orange box for a spare
I have been told. The new orange boxes are junk. Unless you have an orange box from 10 yrs ago its waste of money. Now chrome box might be an option., but they cost as much as an msd box
I must of bought the last good one from summit 6 years ago lol
You have read the MSD claims in the instructions?Well I'm running a mechanical distributor, 36° total with 93 octane. This msd should help over stock base ignition.
