Does anyone produce a pig tail adapter to wire a MSD 6al into the stock mopar ECU harness without cutting into the stock wiring harness.
    Like a plug and play?

I may be wrong.... but i thought they did not, because of the wire sizes that the MSD calls for??

^^This here^^ The factory ignition wiring is already taxed, and voltage drop already causes overcharging in many cars. The MSD "big red" and "big black" are supposed to connect direct to battery and ground.

You could stick the "small red" trigger wire onto the ballast resistor pretty easily, run the "big red" to the starter relay stud.

You could try to find an old MSD 6C. It has the chrysler plug on the MSD. It still requires the two large power wires to the battery and jump the ballast out but it will leave your original wiring intact. Also, no rev limiter on them.

^^Actually I have an old one that plugs right in, with no extra wires. But these are not current production. I forget the model, 5 something?

            I had forgot about those.
I was really wanting to add a rev limiter. I missed a shift the other day and it tached out pretty hard.

Remember that MSD offers a rebuild service for their obsolete (no longer offered) units. I prefer the old style 6AL boxes so I look for them cheap at swap meets, last month I sent 3 units to MSD and they tested and repaired all 3 - total cost $131 for all three.

Is there a way to add a rev limiter to one of the old 6 boxes?

5C plugs right in. The idle in the morning without a hint of stalling is pure ecstasy.

I have had mine since the late 70/s? early 80s? Got the livin CRAP zapped out of me one day. Back then, I did not know about rotor phasing or the timing light problem with MSD. Back then I had a GM tach drive breakerless 'Vette dist machined to fit a SB. Never could get the thing to run right with that dist. Now that we have the www LOLOL............

Yeah back in the day I didnt know you couldnt use a regular timing light with an MSD. I would set the timing and it just wouldnt hold steady and run like crap. That was when I just started timing by ear trial and error method. Now I have a MSD light that is made for multiple spark boxes.
Its never a fun experience getting zapped from an MSD. I have felt its wrath on several occasions. Kinda feels like it stops your heart for a brief moment.
