Score one for the old guys. This is a great commercial featuring a new and vintage Challenger.

Warning: Semi X-rated story ahead:

This reminds me of the story about two bulls (one young and one older and wiser) sitting on top of a hill looking down on a valley of cows. The young one turns to his older counterpart and says, "Hey, why don't we run down there and f*** one of those cows down there?" The older, wiser bull looks at him and says, "Why don't we walk down there and f*** them all?"

This is the first new car in 30 years that I'd actually want to own. My cousin, who owns a Chrysler dealership in Vancouver says they're only going to be making about 5000 year and he doesn't even think his dealership will see one.

Saw it over on another site, just as it should be..guy driving the"real" one laughing at the wannabee...

I'd still rather have the old Challenger, but I wouldn't kick the new one out of the garage. Just don't think I can convince my wife this is what she really wants instead of a 300C.

Thanks GTXperience I will share that with every one:blob:.
Well I would have a new one and be the first owner, because
I could not afford the old one.

How much are the new Challenger's going for?
This will be a car you can buy and drive it to some one ells
and sell it for a mint if you have the only one for sale.:pirat:

cant wait till they come out, cant afford one but looking forward to seeing one and to hear ford and chevy make excuses why they can't outrun one!:blob:

Ditto on what Ramcharger said. I just can't figure out if I'm the kid in the new version or the middle aged guy laffin at what I used to do, well, Ok ok ok, sometimes still do.

Glad you came to your senses  and was honest with us.

if i ever am able to afford one, i'll wait and get the 6 speed manual. a 6.1 deserves to be shifted when YOU feel like shifting it.

Does anyone know the latest production numbers for the first year, the MSRP and would anyone like to take a guess what the aveage dealer markup will be? I thought I saw an articeiln Automotive News but cannot locate it. Also, has anyone read how these things are going to be distributed to their dealers? Are they going to their top xx dealers or are they aloting more to regions where they think it will have the greatest impact?

Jimminy Jillickers Radioactive man!

The closest I'll come to one of those things is in about 10 years maybe I can find a fix-er-uper on a used car log. Man it must be nice to have the $ play in that sandbox.

My $0.02 -LY

Which dealership? I hope it's not Vancouver Chrysler, those guys tried to screw me over a few times....

I think the guy in the new challenger came off as abit cocky myself. He pulls up to the light, looks over at the older guy like "you wanna run that old car, old man, ill crush you with my new challenger".
I think they should have had the younger guy give the older guy a smile and nod or a thumbs up, and then maybe he could have rev'ed his engine. I guess were supposed to think hes really thinking the old guys gonna run him?
I guess im looking too much into it.

I think the old guy is looking at the young guy as if it was him 30 years ago (his young alter ego). ??? Anyway there`s a couple sweet Challengers!:thumblef:

About 4000-4500 units all srt-8 6.1 automatic all hemi orange list 35k. In 2009 about August 2008 more like 35,000 units ranging from a v-6 to maybe the 6.4 and a 6 speed option and maybe multiple clutch trans too in more color options.

Best estimates are dealers are going to rip people in the 40-45k for 1st year models.

I`ve heard that too, around 45K, but like the Shelby Mustangs the public will set the price. When they first arrived people were paying 6 figures for them, and if I was in the new car business I wouldn`t do anything to stop them. Lol! Let`s hope that Mopar buyers can be patient and not get over zealous for the new must-have Challengers. I`m considering one myself.

I still have a problem with the whole muscle car blitz. So I can go out and plop down some cash for a new mopar, I will be on the same level as everyone that that has put their life into mopars? AS it is I am somewhat of a poser when it comes to mopars.......I bought my 63 dart without even knowing what kind of following there is. Of course I am hooked now. But, I do feel that I am just a beginner in comparison to some of the people I have met that have been bleeding mopar for 30+ years.Sounds just like the Harley Davidson story. As much as I like the new Challenger I will not buy. I would rather put the money into an original.

I'm half tempted to trade my '05 Ram for one.... wait what am I going to tow all my other Mopars & stuff with, Dam loto pay off! pay off! LMAO
